What?
Coaching for superior performance, something that for many years was primarily associated with sports is now considered to be a vital component of leadership and organizational development.

Coaching, in essence, is a dialogue between two people, a relationship based on trust and goodwill, designed to help individuals grow and develop and achieve the results they desire. The key component of the coaching process is action and the role of the coach is to help others determine the most appropriate and most powerful action steps in order to move toward their goals.  It is a partnership; the coach brings a professional curiosity and inventiveness to the issues and situations facing those in leadership roles.  The coach supports the individual by encouraging rigour, exploring thinking and challenging them to go beyond their own perceived level of competence and engagement.  The process enables the transformation of learning into positive results for the individual and their organisation.

Who is it for?
Leaders can be found at any level or area in an organisation.  Executive coaching is aimed specifically at those who are at higher levels of management with increased responsibility.  Their role may be demanding in terms of the communication challenges experienced when dealing with different stakeholders or constituents.  They will most likely be at the sharp edge of producing results and outcomes and they will, by the very nature of their role be constantly building capacity in their teams through interaction, relationship and facilitation.
