Theatre4Business was born out of the shared ideals of a small group of friends and colleagues all working in theatre who came together in 1998 to share their passions, values and aspirations for their lives and work both then and in the future.
Today we are all part of the Theatre4Business team, still passionate about performance and committed to building resilient, authentic and creative relationships in the workplace.
We believe that creativity and innovation are key competitive assets in a changing world and require a state of ‘wonder’ to arouse curiosity and inspire new visions.
We offer our clients an opportunity to enter the rehearsal space in which boundaries become challenges and visions, a tangible reality.
Josie Sutcliffe M.A.

Josie believes we are the authors of our own stories and that as Bertolt Brecht said -
“If you don’t like the story you are living in – change the story.”

Mary Lidgate, M.A., is a founder member and partner of Theatre4Business and a Director of Carbonsense Ltd.
Mary’s work as Project Manager of large scale community theatre productions has given her a great deal of experience in making things happen against the odds. Forming teams and building resources for productions has taught her a lot about the value of communication, relationship building and thinking out of the box.
Her experience brings to her work a passion for helping people develop their skills beyond their expectations and continues to confirm her belief in the transformative power of theatre. She seeks to achieve a safe and dynamic space for her clients to explore and challenge their personal boundaries in order to release their natural creativity. She understands the reluctance we feel to step out of our safety zones but knows the fabulous results which can come from doing so. Now more than ever Mary believes that creativity and how to work with it is the most valuable asset for any individual or organisation.
Mary holds a BA and MA from Exeter University, U.K.
